A Note & Apology for the Recent Service Interruptions + A Update
Dear Valued Viewer,
We know a few of you had trouble accessing Adesa+ recently — either with slow loading times, site errors, or the live video player not working properly. We're truly sorry for the inconvenience caused.
These issues were due to a combination of platform and network inconsistencies affecting some users across specific devices and internet providers. We’ve worked swiftly with our partners to resolve everything, and Adesa+ should now be fully accessible and stable for most people will 100% availability expected before 18:00:00GMT on Saturday, 24 May 2025.
That said, we know the overall experience this season of Perfect Match Xtra hasn’t been as smooth or delightful as we’d like it to be. We hear you. And we’re not okay with "just okay."
Just days earlier, a subset of users on MTN Ghana’s network also experienced difficulty loading our video player due to an unexpected downtime on Vimeo, our third-party video hosting provider. You can see more details on Vimeo's status page here.
We acknowledge that these incidents — coupled with other service hiccups this season — fall below the standard you expect from us. This is not the kind of experience we strive to deliver.
As the lead of the team behind MG Digital and Adesa+, I want to assure you that we take these issues seriously. We are already working behind the scenes to strengthen our infrastructure, improve reliability, and make Adesa+ a more seamless experience for every viewer, across every device and network.
As part of that ongoing commitment, we’re excited to announce the introduction of mgRewards to Adesa+! For those of you who have been with us for PMXtra since Season 1, you know about mgPoints and the existing terms at https://info.mediageneral.digital/books/perfect-match-xtra/page/pmx-points-addendum-to-terms-of-use will mostly apply.
Starting Sunday, 25 May (and rolling out fully by Monday, 26 May), you’ll:
- Earn points automatically for engaging on the platform — from subscribing to watch and commenting on livestreams to subscribing for updates.
- Redeem those points for things you actually care about — like voting boosts for your favourite contestants or even cashback options.
And yes, we’ve got you covered: All your actions since 18 April will be counted retroactively, so your earlier interactions will still earn you points.
